Miss Lottie’s house was the most ramshackle of all our ramshackle homes. The sun and rain had long since faded its rickety frame siding from white to a sullen gray. The boards themselves seemed to remain upright not from being nailed together but rather from leaning together, like a house that a child might have constructed from cards. A brisk wind might have blown it down, and the fact that it was still standing implied a kind of enchantment that was stronger than the elements. There it stood and as far as I know is standing yet—a gray, rotting thing with no porch, no shutters, no steps, set on a cramped lot with no grass, not even any weeds—a monument to decay.

welp i believe that we should change a lot of thing ( obviously stuff like racism, etc ) but the main thing would be just dont lie. i know it sounds simple but count how many times you lie tomorrow and youll see what the actual problem is. i know we all tell those little white lies but those little white lies can change this world completely : ) (do i still get brainliest? )

in "the bass, the river, and   sheila mant" the young narrator experiences a first date rite of passage. he takes sheila to the cinema by boat. she thinks fishing is stupid, so he hides the fishing rod and misses to catch a large bass. eventually, he regrets letting the bass go after sheila goes back home with another guy.

in the poem "oranges," the teen narrator goes on his first date with a girl. it is winter time, and they walk to the drugstore together. there he buys the girl a chocolate. when they leave, they hold hands, and just release them to open the chocolate and peel the orange the boy has in his pocket.
