"The rose that grew from concrete" is a metaphor that talks about a person who has overcome adversity in order to conquer their dreams.The author of the poem says the rose is "proving nature's laws wrong" by "keeping its dreams." With that, he means people can accomplish anything, even if the world seems to work against them. As long as they focus on what they want, anything can be done.
