the main point/idea for the wonderful wizard of oz is Friendship is another important theme within the novel. Dorothy finds friends within the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and also the Cowardly Lion, who, like Dorothy, do not realize that they have already got what they're trying to find and do not need the Wizard.
