Why do people compare themselves to other and negative self-talk ? please help me

When a person compares himself/herself with another person it makes them feel bad about themselves for example a feeling of worthlessness and that triggers the negative self talk which makes you develop low self esteem.

The negative self talk happens because you start to make up a false thought in your head claiming that the other person is better then you in some way.
