(3) Once he finished, he was disappointed to find that he could still see the original white shining from underneath. (4) So he bought another can of paint and started to paint again. (5) Bright red was energetic and fun—just like him! (6) After the second coat, he could still see patches of white. (7) Finally, after four coats of paint, he had the color he had always wanted.
