Bison Encounter The last winter vacation that I spent with my Uncle Jake was the best I have had so far. In the mornings, my uncle and I would go sledding on the hills behind his house. My cousins would be there as well and we would have snowball fights, and at night, we would sit around a bonfire while my uncle narrated some very interesting stories. He was a good storyteller. We often spotted animals like deer, elk, and raccoons around my uncle's house. We would keep food out for them and secretly watch as they strode over and ate the food early in the morning. One morning we were up early to clear the snow off the front drive, when to our surprise, we realized that we had some new visitors. Ten immense bison were slowly advancing toward us from the road across my uncle's property. We stopped shoveling the snow, and looked at them nervously. Uncle Jake was an expert on the wildlife in his area; however, it had been a while since he had encountered bison. "They must have escaped from Yellowstone National Park, which is close to this area," Uncle Jake whispered, not moving an inch. The herd was only a couple of yards away, and we had to come up with a way to get away fast. Perhaps, they had come looking for food, but they would not be too happy to realize the other animals had already finished the food that we had put out. However, it was too late to bring them food, as the bison were quite close to us now. If this story were to continue, what would the author most likely discuss in the next paragraph? A. the way the author and Uncle Jake narrated the bison incident to the author's cousins B. the way the author and Uncle Jake escaped from the bison herd C. the plan that the author and Uncle Jake made to return the bison to the National Park D. the things the author and his uncle discussed about the bison
