The Native Americans or the Indians are the original natives of America while many claim Christopher Columbus was the first to arrive in America. Native Americans are led by chiefs. Native Americans believe in honoring their ancestors and tradition is very important to them. They believe in worshipping or honoring the earth, stars, etc. They have very high regards for nature and environment. In the 19th Century the Native Americans were forced through The Trail of Tears.

Cherokee, Choctaw, and Apache are just a few named.
