The Room.

Explanation:

The room was dark and the stench of a rotten corpse filled the air. Maple stared at the door. She already knew she would be dead if she made any movement or noise. How did she get herself into this mess? Accidentally stumbling into a house. Not just any house, a house her friends assumed to be cursed, anyone who entered died in minutes. Maple wasn't afraid, she thought they were just scaring her for fun. That she wouldn't actually go in. But oh, she should've listened to their cries for her to come back. Now look where she is now, stuck in a room, barely able to see, and some monster chasing her. The room was quiet except for her heavy breathing and light sniffles. "I want to go home..." She cried, hot tears running down her soft, pale skin. Minutes pass, maybe even hours, who knows when you don't have any source of communication. She sat there under the bed for what seemed for forever until there was a knock at the door. She didn't move. Then came a bang at the door. She was frightened, her body trembling as the banging kept going. Then the door clicked and just as she thought she was dead, the door never opened. The fumbling of the door knob could be heard but no such luck. The door saved her.
