at dawn we followed a channel of the cook river west word towards pirimapun. around us with grasslands, palms, and sago thickets with lots of egrets, ducks, and geese. we scared them when we passed. above we saw fruit bats flying south like someone controlled them. they were tired. Now they would hide their heads inside the wings and sleep all day.
