The Nazis and people who agreed with them wanted to protect the German community
from "inferior" races. Are there other examples in history or literature in which groups of
people murdered innocent people in the name of "protecting" themselves? How are these
examples similar to or different from the Holocaust?

In 1934, the SS was put in fee of defensive Germany from internal and external enemies. The SS additionally managed the attention camps where ‘unwanted humans’ were imprisoned. The primary awareness camp was mounted in Dachau in 1933.

These ‘undesirable human beings’ protected:

   political opponents

   homosexuals

   criminals

   gypsies

   Jewish human beings

   nonsecular figures

   any out-spoken critics (along with journalists and artists)

Life within the awareness camps become extraordinarily harsh. Prisoners have been made to work in horrendous situations. Tales of what prisoners skilled multiplied fear a few of the German populace.

The arrest and disappearance of heaps of humans, then their subsequent reappearance with memories of the concentration camps, terrified the populace. This meant that there was little competition for the Nazis within the 1930s.
