For most of my life, I did not understand what it meant to be a part of a team. I was training for the Chicago Marathon, and the long miles were difficult to complete, so I joined a running club. The members’ enthusiasm for running made the miles easier. When the big day arrived, we got together and ran the first few miles as a group, but then we lost one another in the crowd.
