The Road not Taken by Robert Frost has a similar idea that emphasis on the choice, whether to go along with the mainstream or go alone.

He talks about the road that was less traveled. Finally everyone will have the same idea that they should have taken the other road.

The decisions that we make today, determine our future. Our choice will lead to the consequences that might be good or bad. However making choice is inevitable.
