First off, the author also goes by the pseudonym Morton Rhue, though his real name is Todd Strasser. When The
Wave was published in 1981, Strasser was asked to come up with a pseudonym for himself. His publisher, Dell,
thought that it would hurt sales to have two titles by the same author published close together (his second
novel had also been published that year).
Secondly, when you open the document just understand I cannot change/edit the document so any

1) You DO NOT need to do #3 on the activity directions. Since we are not in school it makes it hard for us to
