Paragraphs 2-3 demonstrate the different goals Tom and Anne have for their farms by changing the way he farms overall which is faster and creates more bushels then his father could do when he was little.On the other hand, Anne uses of a different form farming which doesn't include chemical fertilizer, instead she use compost and dead fish in her soil.Therefore, the differences are the ways they farm.
