Various murals of Nipsey Hussle have popped up in different locations in Los Angeles. Nipsey was shot dead outside his clothing store, an even that shocked the hip-hop community. After his death his colleagues and friends showed their grief and feelings in heartfelt words, but for a lot of street artist painting murals of the rapper was how they showed their respect. The artist immortalized him through the murals as a way of preserving his legacy and entrepreneurial spirit. The murals depict him in various poses, one as an angel, one showing him gazing at the sky with the lyrics of his most popular song written alongside, and most notable of them all is one painted on a school basketball court. The mural created on the basketball court of Crete Academy continues to draw devoted fans who take pictures on it to remember him by.
