Write at least 150 words about changing your speech for different social situations. Think about any
differences in your word choice, word order, and/or accent that you speak with when you are around
different people. You can relate a story about a time that you had to do this, or had to do it and were
unable to. Or maybe you've had an experience where you or someone else did not fit in to a particular
situation because of the way you, he, or she talked. If you cannot think of any stories, you can just
describe the differences in the way that you talk around your parents, friends, and teachers.
