Despite the violent world she is living in and all that she experiences, Anne truly believes in the essential goodness of people. This is one of the major themes of the play. Think about how various characters demonstrate this. Find two specific examples from the text that show this (characters showing goodness) and explain how their actions demonstrate that. Next, think of our current situation. Have you heard about or witnessed people displaying their goodness through kind or helpful acts? Describe at least two examples.
