The trees stood tall and lingered over the white
pristine chapel that seemed subdued and silent in the
distance. The steeple was a towering pillar of strength
as I stood there, feeling like an insignificant ant in the
overgrown jungle of maple leaf covered ground. With
each step, there was a large cracking sound that broke
the innocent silence like firecrackers on New Year's
Eve. The air was cold and fresh on my sad face, and as
I entered the church a bright light filled my soul, like a
hot cup of sweet pumpkin soup on a cold winter's day.
