The book "Black Boy" describes the life story of a young man named Richard Wright who is faced with so many challenges while growing up. His also feels threatened by the high level of discrimination against the black people which leads him to isolate himself from the people around him.

While growing up Richard father abandoned his family and ran off to live with another woman. Wright was resentful towards his father he blamed him for all the poverty and hardship that they are passing through. Over the years when Wright has grown into an adult he met with his father once again and discovered that the man was a victim of racism and was as symbol of the negative effects of slavery in the black race.
