The important idea that I learned from the Code Talker was how Ned became a code talker. For example, I learned that, As a boy, Ned Begay, a Navajo Indian, was taught that his language was useless. When America enters World War II, he signs up to serve in the Marines and then becomes a Code Talker. It is reminiscent of many books written by and about Native Americans.
