The Neolithic revolution was the beginning of the agricultural process. It marked the transition from the hunter gatherers to the agricultural settlements . The hunter gatherers used to wander and change their location in search of animal based food. But with the discovery of plant based food, early humans tried to plant the desirable plant species to grow food oriented crops.  This was the basis of civilization.
