compassion. Dante speaks to the various souls being punished. He goes out of his
way to do this. He learns about who they were. He does this even though they have
been condemned to Hell. This concern for others shows compassion.

Dante corresponds to the numerous souls being prosecuted, for  this he goes to great lengths. He discovers who they were,  h e continues so even if they were condemned to Hell. His  concern shows kindness towards others.
