Which passage from “The Last Dream” is not based on historical records or sources? Maggie sat up, climbed from the bed, and drew on her robe. She curled up on the window seat overlooking the yard. Beyond the trees the night sky seemed full of diamonds. She'd had the dream again, the one that had haunted her ever since the news of the kidnapping first came out. That was about two weeks ago: March 1, 1932—two days before her fifteenth birthday. It was strange to think that the baby's father—or anyone else—had flown through that dark, sparkling expanse. He was the famous Charles Lindbergh, the first human being ever to fly a plane nonstop across the Atlantic Ocean. That solo flight in 1927, from New York to Paris, dazzled the world and brought international fame to Lindbergh, who was known thereafter as “The Lone Eagle.” It scared her to think how quickly someone's life could change. Just three years ago the celebrated aviator had married the writer Anne Morrow. Then, a year later, in 1930, the Lindberghs had their first child, Charles Jr.
