Now that Interstate 12 has opened, the trip from Colesburg to Ashville has been reduced by 10 miles, saving commuters time and money. Previously, a commuter from Colesburg had to take Route 22 to Route 16. This indirect route actually took the traveler around the west side of Ashville to the city’s limits. It connects Route 22 to the northern boundary of Ashville.
