Read the passage below: ". . . in Pompeii. Ever hear of Pompeii?” Which best distinguished fact from fiction in the passage? Pompeii is a place that actually existed. This passage is factual. Pompeii is not an actual place. It is a figment of the main character's imagination and is a fiction. While Pompeii is a real place, we don't know much about it. The information the narrator gives the reader in this passage is fictional. While Pompeii is a fictional place, the conversation taking place between the boy and Wolf actually happened.
