Teenagers often decide to scroll through social media during free time, whether in a car or sitting in their bedroom. They may see people posting about friends or relationships. As the person continues to scroll instead of logging off, they may come across more similar posts of different people. A teenager may feel uninvited and unwanted by friend groups if they constantly view social media like this. If the person does not get as much social interaction as they may see people having on social media, they may feel as if they have little to no friends, and/or loneliness.
