Octavio Paz once wrote a poem called Two Bodies about the intertwining of two people in love. The theme is that love is electric and unpredictable, and at times can often be dangerous. He uses metaphors throughout the poem to give a deeper view into the five aspects of the relationship between the two bodies. "At times two waves," being physical affection, "Are sometimes two knives, and night strikes sparks," being an example of the couple fighting. The phrase, Are two stars falling in an empty sky," can be an example of their love burning out too fast, like a star entering the earth's atmosphere.
