Your cousin, who lives in another state, is worried about the danger of dengue fever in his
housing estate. Due to poor management of rubbish, drains and roads around the area, five
dengue cases have been reported in the area.
Write a letter, advising him about suitable precautions to take. Include the following points in
your letter
Take personal precautions mosquito netting, mosquito coils at night - urge friends and
neighbours - do the same
- Ensure clean surroundings – no heaped clothes or rubbish bins in rooms – no rubbish in
compounds surroundings in neighbourhood - containers, tyres that collect water
Report to the Health Department – any neighbouring houses - overgrown gardens, dirty
premises, etc.
