So far so good? can someone write me a conclusion A stone lost in time only to be found and lost again: The riddle of the Rosetta stone is one of great mystery. Many have tried to solve it and failed. The author of the Rosetta Stone, James cross Giblin wrote about this mystery. The author did a great job of staying on topic and on his thesis, he also made it inserting to read.

First the author James Cross Giblin stay on topic throughout the whole story. One example of this is: “Before the Rosetta Stone was discovered in 1799, no one knew how to read Egyptian hieroglyphic writing. Its meaning had been lost for almost 1400 years.” (Giblin The Mystery of the Rosetta Stone). This quote shows that even though he could have gone off to a side story he stayed on topic. One other example is: “Others stumbled on the correct definitions of a few hieroglyphs. No one knows exactly where the Greeks obtained this information.” (Giblin The Mystery of the Rosetta Stone)

Second James Cross Giblin stuck to his thesis the whole story. You can see this everywhere in the story one quote that really shows it is: “What makes this stone so special? Step closer, and you’ll see. Spotlights pick out markings carved into the surface of the stone, and close up you can tell that these marks are writing” (Giblin The Mystery of the Rosetta Stone). He also shows strong descriptions all throughout the story. One good example of this is: “It is roughly the size of a tabletop—three feet nine inches long, two feet four and a half inches wide, and eleven inches thick” (Giblin The Mystery of the Rosetta Stone).

Finally, made the story interesting to read and had interesting facts. An example is: B. “All the secrets of ancient Egypt—its history, its literature, its religious beliefs—remained hidden behind the lines of the mysterious hieroglyphs.” (Giblin The Mystery of the Rosetta Stone) Another example is: “None of these theories brought scholars any closer to a true understanding of the hieroglyphs. As the 1700s came to an end, their meaning was as much of a mystery as ever.” (Giblin The Mystery of the Rosetta Stone)
