I wish to uderstand what other people are thinking  about how to punish people.

I wish I knew more about cognitive-behavioural techniques and coping mechanisms and I wish I knew more about how to effectively implement them in my life. It isn’t something that I can’t learn about, and it’s something I’ve been working on learning about and trying to do, both myself and with the help of my therapist, but there’s only so much one can do and when you start to feel like nothing is working, you need more options. When I become overwhelmed, it’s easy for me to back up, run away, and give up. I hate that it’s easy for me to do those things, But if I knew more about the effective implementation of the things I do know about, then I might not be so quick to run.
