Mobile phones over the years have grown to become an essential component of communication today. However, they have advantages on the one hand and disadvantages on the other.

Among the advantages is that one can use a mobile phone to keep students and parents in touch where in cases of emergency students can call their parents or relatives. Mobile phones have also been of great importance during emergency services where one can call an ambulance or security forces, in cases of an accident, fires, and medical issues. In addition to this, one may use a mobile phone to communicate with his/her parents. Lastly, the mobile phone can be used for multiple purposes, such as email communication, take pictures.

On the other side, mobile phones have several disadvantages, such as addiction when it comes to messaging, mobile games, and video recording, which may waste one's time. In addition to this, mobile phones distract an individual, such as using a phone when driving.

It can be concluded that mobile phones have greatly benefited humanity through the provision of services.
