Example: Let’s say that some dude thought he would be happier if he was rich and only cared about money. He isolates himself from all his friends and family to focus on being rich. He finally becomes a wealthy man with anything he ever wanted but he realizes that money didn’t actually make him happier and that he misses his friends and family. The main character’s change was they realized that being rich didn’t make him happy which brings us to the theme of the story. Money doesn’t buy happiness. Hope this helps
