Despite for being in pain for a lot of time, Chillal’s nails did have some benefits. “I never had to wait in a queue!” he told Guinness World Records.

2. Shridhar Chillal, from Pune, India, had grown his nails for 66 years. They measured 29 ft 10.1 in, which is about the same length as a London bus.

3. Last Wednesday, a trained technician, wearing a facemask, used power tools to carefully remove Chillal’s nails during a special Cermony.

4. The 82-year-old man who hold the Guinness World record for the longest fingernails, finally cut them off last Wednesday during a special “nail clipping ceremony” held in New York, as they had become too fragile.

5. Next month, Chillal’s Severed nails will be put on display at Ripleys Believe it or Not! Museum in Times Square, New York.

6. Chillal revealed that his nails had become so fragile he had to be extremely careful while sleeping. “I can’t move much at all. Every half an hour or so I wake up and move my hand to the other side of the bed,” said Chillal. He also added that his hand had become extremely painful due to the weight of the nails.
