Does the ending of Fahrenheit 451 feel fulfilling? Why or why not? Is the ending a deux ex machina (where the author suddenly saves the day with something that feels a little too neat, that doesn’t totally go with the logical build-up of the book)? Is the ending happy, sad, or a mixture? What feelings are you left with for Montag and his society? What do you think happened to Faber? Do you think Montag and the outcasts’ plan for saving books is realistic?
