Read the passage. Being a volunteer has many benefits. In addition to helping those in need, volunteer work is also good for the mind and body of those who help. It has been shown that volunteering makes people happy and helps reduce stress. It connects people to the community and other individuals. Volunteering also gives people a sense of purpose and increases self-confidence.
