When my best friend hurt my feelings, I decided to talk to her about what happened. I started by asking her about her day and talking a little about school. Then I transitioned to the issue I wanted to discuss with her. I brought up the problem directly and clearly stated the reasons why she had hurt my feelings. Because I was clear and direct, my friend had an easier time understanding where I was coming from. We were able to talk about things that bothered us without yelling at each other. It ended up being a productive conversation. Now we’re better friends than ever.
