Read the passage. The development of telephone technology has been truly incredible over the last twenty years. Think about everything that your phone can do. It has access to the internet, can send and receive text messages, and provides access to email and other social media platforms. It's a calendar, a watch, a calculator, a camera, a video camera, a mini-computer, a TV, and a MP3 player. Oh yes, and it's still a phone. The fact that a phone can provide so many functions has meant that the manufacturers of cameras, calculators, computers, etc. have to find ways to offer developments within their products to ensure that they don't go extinct—a bit like the dinosaurs! The desire for immediate communication has meant that platforms have been developed that not only allow people to communicate orally but visually, too. Video calls enable direct visual and oral communication. One criticism of the telephone is that a person can communicate a message through their use of language; however, their body language may suggest a different message. Using the internet for video calls means that people are able to communicate using their body language and facial expressions as well as their words; the same way that we do within a normal conversation. Telephone companies are still trying to figure out how they can benefit from these developments in technology. Sadly, some companies try to control internet use and charge excessive fees to users, while others attempt to convince governments to ban the use of specific social media apps that provide video calls. The two main ideas from the passage are that phones have many different functions, and developments in technology now allow people to visually communicate through video calls. Select the best group of sentences from the text that support these ideas. a "It has access to the internet, can send and receive text messages, and provides access to email and other social media platforms." "It's a calendar, a watch, a calculator, a camera, a video camera, a mini-computer, a TV, and a MP3 player." b "It's a calendar, a watch, a calculator, a camera, a video camera, a mini-computer, a TV, and a MP3 player." . . . "Using the internet for video calls means that people are able to communicate using their body language and facial expressions as well as their words. . . " c "The development of telephone technology has been truly incredible over the last twenty years." . . . "Telephone companies are still trying to figure out how they can benefit from these developments in technology." d "Video calls enable direct visual and oral communication." . . . "Using the internet for video calls means that people are able to communicate using their body language and facial expressions as well as their words"
