Explanation:

From the story, we discover that the Princess of Mount Ladang was famous for her beauty and loveliness. The sultan wanted to marry her and therefore sent his nobles with expensive gifts to make his intentions known to the princess. The princess received them well and even entertained them. When they informed the princess, she gave 7 requests that the sultan must meet in order to marry her.

The Sultan met 6 of the requests but couldn't fulfill the 7th one which is to bring the blood of his son who he loved. At this point, he saw how he has made his people suffer because of his selfish ambition.
