Depending on the topic, they’ll play with the words and use metaphors to make the story bette. For example, if the poem is about electricity and they use the metaphor, “the electricity danced in the sky” it would make the story more upbeat and happier. The author would put that rather than saying, “the stormy electricity was so big and bright that it terrified me.” This example shows that the author’s word choice creates a different attitude and tone in each poem.
