Explain how Locke's philosophies are treated in Voltaire's Micromegas. Use textual evidence to support your response. Your answer should be at least 150 words.

Voltaire was very much impressed by the liberty of thought in England. He was fascinated by John Locke and much studied John Locke's works , and adapted the work of John Locke to fit in his life, his own ways of conveying messages to French revolutionists, which includes writing the ideas of Locke’s  and theories into the novel which could be read by everyone and  anyone. Through Voltaire writing, he attempted to “bring about reform of the social and legal structure that existed at the time”. Voltaire works also spoke out against religious intolerance, wars and other political and social injustice.

One day when some one tells him  that as the man speaks with him, there are about 100,000 mad people around of their species who are wearing hats and killing other 100,000 animals that wears turbans or are being massacred by them and that we have used this by the Earth's surface by the time immemorial? Political theory of John Locke was founded on the theory of social contract. He believed that the human nature is always characterized by some reason and tolerance and also that human nature would allowed people to become selfish.
