It's understandable that authors would be inspired to create characters
and situations based on real life. But authors don't have the right to
advance their careers using stories that are not theirs to tell. Writers
should only tell stories about themselves or from their own
imaginations, because telling other people's stories without
permission is basically a form of stealing.
