Creating Your Own Fake News
For this activity you will be creating your own Fake News story. Using the How To Spot Fake
News picture that is in the Google Slide and attached below, create your story. REMEMBER
ever though Fake News isn't real, it still has elements that are real such as people, places, and
events. When writing your story keep in mind what people's biases might be and focus on that.
IT HAS TO BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE!!
There are the requirements for your Fake News Story:
1. A Headline
2. Consider if you want to add an author, date, and website
3. When writing your story be sure to induce subjective language, opinions, arguable
statements, and generalizations. All of these are elements of bias writing and fake news.
4. Your story should be a total of 15 COMPLETE SENTENCES
