My name is Jane Smith and I'm a movie enthusiast. I'm writing to offer my unbiased opinion and to convey my concerns about a movie to the board members of Motion Picture Association of America. I recently watched a suspenseful thriller at my local theater. I paid to see the movie "Unhinged" starring Russell Crowe with a group of friends. I was deeply concerned and believe the film showcases extreme bouts of violence and profanity.

Unhinged had a realistic undertone that someone my age can relate to. Russell Crowe spends the whole movie terrorizing a young woman and community after a road rage incident. I believe the scenario is realistic in nature and sends a poor message to our youth, specifically teenagers that road rage is entertaining. I was flabbergasted by some of the gory murderous scenes that I feel ill.

Although "Unhinged " is classified as a Restricted movie I believe this rating is not restrictive enough. The movie was intense, fast paced and keep me on the edge of my seat however as a society that molds our youth they should not be exposed to extremely violent movies that may glorify such acts. For example, there is a scene in a dinner where Russell Crowes character is calm and suddenly bursts into a raging fit killing at man with a coffee mug resulting in blood spraying everywhere while other patrons ran. It was very unexpected, gory and intense.

In conclusion, I encourage your organization to review the rating and take measures to advertise more family friendly content so families of all ages can enjoy movies together. I appreciate the opportunity to voice my concerns. I hope your organization take the appropriate steps before showcasing this film any further.
