A New Recipe Fred liked to cook. He often tried new things. One day he found a recipe that looked as if it would be really good. He took two cups of flour, one teaspoon of baking powder, and a little salt. He put these things in a big bowl. In another bowl he put one cup of butter, a cup of white sugar, and a cup of brown sugar. Then he mixed everything together. Finally he added a cup of walnuts and a cup of chocolate pieces. Then he dropped small balls of this mixture onto flat baking pans. He put them in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. When they were done, he let them cool.
