Also- it could be considered child abuse because the kids will get used to hearing their parents fight all the time, and think that that's okay. The children will think it's okay to abuse their kids, so they'll do it to them too, and so will their kids, and their kids, and so on... The children will always have that memory of their parents arguing and fighting and abusing, so it may make them depressed even. So basically, bad actions can turn into bad results.
