In the short story, Charles, the narrator is Laurie's mother. What I want you to think about is, how would the story be different if the plot remained exactly the same, but the narrator was changed. For each new narrator, you will list what you would know and what you wouldn' know if that character was narrating the story. For example, if Laurie was our narrator, we would know that Charles is not real and it is Laurie that is misbehaving. You are basically explaining how reading the story would be different if just the narrator changed. New Narrator: Laurie What we would know What we wouldn't know New Narrator: Kindergarten Teacher What we would know: What we wouldn't know: New Narrator: Laurie's Father What we would know (hint- there is only one): What we wouldn't know.
