The Darkness of Night ( my poem )
The darkness of the night scary for young imagining minds but comforting for those who are blind. She is an angel in dark clothing she helps imagination and makes it start flowing she is a secret keeper with her veil of constant black, she is the warm wool blanket on your back. When she is moody shed yell with a thunderous crash her tears of soft rain comforting the hurting as they lay in the grass, her motherly smile like the moon is soothing her wind soft as the wind clings to the wanting as she wants what they want a touch as she tries always to give the lonely a loving hug. A signal of a whistle in one’s ear to say they are not alone and that she would comfort them always to make her, the darkness of night, feel like home.
