In the beginning of the Odysseus ''But all his days he’d sit on the rocks and beaches, wrenching his heart with sobs and groans and anguish, gazing out over the barren sea through blinding tears'' ( Book 21 outline -). Odysseus shows that his mood changes from grief to happiness when it states in the text “in joy, in joy, knowing the abyss behind: 90 and so she too rejoiced, her gaze upon her husband, her white arms round him pressed as though forever. ..”(Book outline)
