Here is a little bit about him
A high school student, Kalief Browder, who lived in New York was arrested and sent to Rikers Island where he served three years in solitary confinement. He allegedly stole someone's backpack. On May 15, 2010 this 16 year old was accused of grand larceny and assault. Although he was ultimately found not guilty, Kalief Browder suffered an unimaginable time while incarcerated. His case drew the attention of many people worldwide and though he was subsequently let go, the trauma was something he couldn't escape. The effects of this trauma ultimately led to Kalief Browder taking his own life at the young age of 22.
