Should protesting against the United States government be considered an act of terrorism?

    Protests are meant to be peaceful, and they are different from riots. Protesting for a change against the government should not be considered an act of terrorism, as it is even stated in the constitution that people have a right to speak up for a change. Riots should be considered an act of terrorism, as they cause harm to the innocent people that are targeted within those groups of people. A protest is meant to be a peaceful way to settle a matter, therefore I do not think they should be considered an act of terrorism.

    However, if people claim to be protesting, and harming people along the way, this should be concluded as a riot and taken care of. Protests should be monitored to ensure that nothing gets out of hand, as some people take these names for granted.
